Akiho Sugiyama’s Gallery

In the late 1950s, my father, Akiho Sugiyama, picked up a camera and began capturing the world with quiet wonder. What began as a humble hobby grew into his life’s calling.

These images, taken in the mid-1960s, reflect his gentle eye and timeless sense of beauty.

Though he passed away in 2012, his vision lives on—I hope his photographs speak softly to your heart, as they still do to mine.
